Paige Cantlin, founder/CEO of Full Society has never turned away from a challenge. Working her way through college as a server and bartender, Paige ultimately graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Continuing with her studies, she went on to earn her series 7, 63, and 65 brokerage licenses as well as her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. This all led Paige to her 6-year adventure through the world of finance, working as an analyst, director of investment operations, and most recently worked with The Private Client Group at Brown Advisory. In 2014, while working at Brown Advisory, Paige began studying for her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School, pursuing a double concentration in Finance and Real Estate. In September of 2014, amidst school and work, Paige decided to embark on a new journey - Full Society. As founder/CEO of the newly chartered Full Society, Paige quickly adopted the startup lifestyle; subsequently, leaving her job at Brown Advisory to focus full-time on Full Society. In addition to these already impressive accomplishments, Paige is also the director of finance for the Shine Foundation, an active CASA volunteer, and an avid international marathon runner.
Paige was inspired to develop Full Society as a student at JHU while working as a server at The Cheesecake Factory. As one could imagine, there are a plethora of frustrations in any given job, which is where Full Society began. While working, Paige found herself focused on two frustrations specifically; the availability for a more efficient closing process in bars and restaurants and a finding a way for food establishments to give back to their communities. Being the health/fitness advocate, Paige would walk to and from work. This not only enabled a more active lifestyle, but afforded her the ability to immerse herself in and be witness to our society from an interesting perspective. Daily, she would pass countless people unable to procure a meal while she was traveling to an establishment that provided just that for countless others. Witnessing these societal differences had an even greater impact on Paige when she was able to experience first-hand how much food was being wasted during work. The drive to find a solution to these frustrations directly influenced Full Society, the mobile payment app with a social mission to provide meals for those who can’t afford them. Paige founded Full Society as a means for those who lead a more luxurious lifestyle to easily share with those who cannot afford it, fueled by the hopes to create “an opportunity to make a cultural change that could provide the means to reduce hunger significantly”.
Paige’s immense love for the city of Baltimore stemmed her passion for this project and its ability to do good for so many. As the leader of our team, Paige works countless hours and inspires her team to believe that no task is too large or goal too grand. She stops for nothing other than to crack a joke or two (she’s a pretty witty lady), which always proves to boost team morale. Being an Aries, Paige focuses mainly on leading the way for our team with hard work, dedication, and respect – talk about a real go getter!
